A lot of people today have migraines, and tension headaches. People who have headaches also have balance problems, eye issues, constant throat issues, or sinus problems. Headaches can be caused by many factors, but, now days screen time is the major factor for headaches today. No wonder why, Apple came out with screen time section on your phone settings to tell you how much screen time you had with your phone. Screen time is causing serious health issues. Some people might say, I am just born with migraines, or I think my headaches are coming from the neck muscles, because it started after a car accident or starts after workouts. Then, we try to get rid of our headaches with Advils, Tylenols, or other prescribed drugs. However, I can tell you that those can help you to alleviate the symptoms, but it is not finding the cause and fixing it. Patients with migraines, tension headaches, or headaches all have severe loss of curvature of the neck, forward head posture, humped back, or all at once. However, nobody have actually seen their curvature of the neck, or even if they had x-rays, they weren’t told that they have severe consequences with loss of neck curvature. Once their neck curvature goes back to normal limits, then the headaches go away. It is a fact that neck curvature plays huge role on headaches. Accidents, strenuous exercises, screen time, or poor posture can alter curvature of the spine so you need to check how your curvature is aligned which can be a cause of your headaches. There are some exercises can help with the symptoms. Simple as letting your head drop backwards and holding it can be an exercise after constant screen time. Second exercise can be trap stretches. Putting your hands, palm down, below your butt cheek, and tilting your neck the opposite where your hands are. You can do that on the opposite side as well. This will stretch your trapezius muscle, which correlate with headaches. However, if you are still suffering from the headaches, you should check out your neck curve through x-rays.
Our society today, we are using computers, phones, and tablets constantly both at work and at home. Many people are diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome, or have some kind of wrist pain. However, carpal tunnel syndrome is being over-diagnosed from some of the doctors. Hand diagrams, nerve conduction testing, or strength testing are good tests, but most of them does not count the neck into the examination. Due to the fact that patients are involved with repetitive work with technologies, our neck curves, and postures are altered most of the time. The reason why we look at the neck curve is because the nerve that connects to the wrist comes from the neck. This altered neck curve, which is misalignment of the neck, decreases in nerve function on a nerve that is going to the wrist. That results in pain, weakness, or numbness at the wrists or hands. Therefore, you need to address the neck curve first before you act on doing a surgery on the wrist.
The important question is how do I get rid of misalignment? Better question is, how do I correct my neck curve? Chiropractic care is the answer for that question, but not just a regular chiropractic care. Corrective chiropractic is what you need. Doctor who is certified at chiropractic biophysics is the one you should look for. These are doctors who were trained extra to achieve such skills to correct the curvature of the spine. They will be able to show you pre and post x-rays to determine the curve has been corrected effectively. These doctors use mirror-imaging adjustments, and extension tractions to correct the curvature of the spine. There is case study that is attached to assist this blog.
Ever since computers became part of our everyday lives, there was new term rise up to the surface. Tech neck. Then, the smart phone came along which gave birth a term text neck. Because of the technology, our posture is changing into bad direction. Most important part is, this prolong poor posture is causing headaches, carpal tunnels, migraines, pain and tingling sensation down the arm, and nausea. Because of these issues, we seek out doctors to find solution to resolve these problems. Most of the time, our solution is medication, if that does not work, then we find chiropractors. First of all, we have to change our mind set that it is not the pain that you want to get rid of. It should be the cause of pain that you want to get rid of, then the pain will go away on its own.
The most important question is, what is the cause of this pain? Looking down at our phones and stretching our head towards the monitors to see what is on the computer are factors that alters the curve of the neck. By altering your curve on your neck, it will cause degeneration, and arthritis to the joints much faster up to 300% than normal. This will put the pressure on the nerves, and spinal cord, which will cause all these symptoms. So, what you need to do is to change that neck curve back to normal. How do you do that? Adjusting alone cannot change the curvature of the neck. You need corrective adjusting, and traction exercises to change the curvature towards normal.
Lower back pain is prevalent in our society. Almost everyone experiences lower back pain at some point in their lives. Then people put hot/cold packs on or look up online for lower back pain exercises that they can do to alleviate the pain, and they feel better for a while. However, similar pain comes back on or they get worse as the time goes on. As the pain get worst, they have to lay on their bed for a day, and new complaints shows up such as radiculopathy, and numbness. When people get to this point, they seek healthcare to get rid of it. In our society, our first line of defense is to seek medical doctors. I do not blame that. They have educated the society about health for decades and established our respect. However, there methods are attacking the symptoms. For example, if you have lower back pain, they conduct tests, but if there are no significant findings, they prescribe pain killers. And if you have nerve pain, they may give you some muscle relaxers, and anti-inflammatory. These drugs are about attacking the symptoms. However, there is reason for you to have these symptoms. It is necessary to find what is the cause of these symptoms.
The cause can be found by x-rays. You can say that medical doctors take x-rays too, but the difference is what they are looking for. Medical doctors are looking for fractures, and diseases, but corrective chiropractors look for the curvature of the spine. Humans have ideal spine curvatures, but since we are all different, there is a normal range. If a person’s spine curvature is out of normal range, then there will be pressure building up on the spine, which will cause degenerative joint disease, disc herniations, disc degenerations, and arthritis. So, if you find abnormal curvature of the lower back, what do you think you should do? You need to change it back to normal curvature. How do you do that? Corrective chiropractor can help you. You need to find a chiropractor who is certified in chiropractic biophysics. They have unique skills to change a spine towards normal curvature through mirror-imaging adjustments, extension exercises, and tractions. There is a randomized trial that was published in 2012. They used 64 patients with lower back pain with radiculopathy due to L5-S1 disc herniations. 32 patients were given hot packs, and interferential therapy, and other 32 patients were given the same thing with extension traction to rehabilitate the lumbar curvature. The result was, 32 patients with extension traction had better outcome, and even better 6 months follow-up outcome. Here is link to the paper.
Many patients seek chiropractors because of pain from these two words, arthritis, and degeneration. Then most of the doctors tell you, it is because of your age, and it is normal process of being old. It is NOT. The study shows that if you have a perfect spinal curve there should not have any degeneration as well as arthritis on your spine. Because there will be absolutely no abnormal stress to the spine. Your body is designed to live healthy 80 to 120 years.
Surprisingly, this fact shatters with what you do, what you eat, what you hear about degeneration. This miss information is, you have to wait for it to happen, and when the symptoms begin, we attack it with drugs and surgery. There is a way to prevent degeneration, and arthritis. How? When you take care of your spinal curvature than it will take care of your degeneration, and your arthritis.
Also, the important question is why do you care about degeneration and arthritis in your spine? Is it because of pain? Is it because of quality of life? The scientists say that the primary function of our spine is to protect the spinal cord, which is a system that is an extension of our brain. The importance of our brain and spinal cord is, it controls every function of your body. When degeneration, which is building bones on top of the bones happen, then it will put pressure on our nerves system, which will not only cause pain but also, decreases the functions of your body. The arthritis does the same thing. No one probably told you to take care of your spine, but it is the most important structure in entire body so you better take care of it.

There are so many chiropractors out there and they do all different things. However, now most of chiropractors are coming closer and closer together doing similar things such as using cold laser, ultrasound, electric stimulation, decompression, soft tissue work, teaching exercises, and adjustments.
However, corrective chiropractic is very different and unique. Our goal is to emphasize spinal alignment, and posture. We use x-ray to determine the curvature of your spine and compare it to ideal curve. We correct the spine according to the x-ray with adjusting and traction exercises. The most important organ in our body is brain and spinal cord, which controls every function in your body.
The primary function of the spine is to protect the spinal cord. If the spine curvature is altered, then not only cause pain in the area, but also puts the pressure on the nervous system, which will reduce the function of your organs. That will lead to disease. We believe that restoring the curvature of the spine will lead to vitality of life. We complete pre- and post x-rays so that the patient and doctor can monitor the progress of the change. We are not about pain management, or relief care. We are about targeting what is causing the pain. However, pain relief follows when the spine starts to change back to normal curvature.
